Defining General Message and Alert Settings

The General Messages & Alert Settings panel of the My Alert Settings tab in the Settings page enables you to define the email address to use for email alerts for yourself and another person, if desired. You can also specify whether or not visual alerts are sent for all alert types. View an example?

To define the settings:

1. Specify the email address you want to use for email alerts. More...

   • To use the address you specified in the Email field in the My Profile Settings page, select the Use my contact email check box.

   • To use a different email account, enter the address in the Email address for alerts field.

2. Enter the email address of anyone you would like to receive a copy of your alerts in the Cc: field.

3. Specify whether or not you want to always receive a visual alert for all alert types. More...

   • Select the Always display alerts on-screen check box to receive visual alerts. When you select this check box, the Displaying an alert check box is automatically selected and inactive for all alerts.

   • Clear the check box to prevent a visual alert from being sent. When you clear this check box, the Displaying an alert check box is enabled and selected for all alert types except messages from other users.
